Live times say "Scheduled"
Live times need a connection. Without one the app still plans from the timetable on your phone and marks times as scheduled. Pull down on a board to refresh.
A train isn't shown
The app covers Sydney Trains and Sydney Metro. Buses, ferries, light rail and NSW TrainLink coaches aren't included yet. Trains added on the day at short notice may not appear.
The widget is empty
Open the app and save a trip with the star; the widget shows your first trip. Widgets for your other trips, and Lock Screen widgets, are part of Departures Plus.
Departures Plus
Plus removes the ads and adds unlimited saved trips, all your trips in widgets plus Lock Screen widgets, trip tracking on the Lock Screen, leave-now and wake-me alerts, sharing your trip, carriage-by-carriage crowding and every colour theme. Live times, boards, journeys, a Home Screen widget for your first trip and Siri stay free. To restore Plus on a new phone, open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. To cancel a subscription, open the iPhone's Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Departures; you keep Plus to the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Ads
Without Plus, the app shows at most one ad per screen on the home screen, departure boards, journeys and train runs, from when you install it. There are none in widgets, the Live Activity, Settings, search or the map. If you're asked about consent, you can change your answer in the app's Settings › Ad privacy choices. Plus removes the ads.
